Hybrid Audi O Concept Car by Ondrej Jirec Fuses Sound and Style

The fuel-efficient diesel-electric hybrid Audi O concept car by Czech designer, Ondrej Jirec is designed to fuse innovative audio features with the sporty feel of a four-seat hatchback.

Audi trademark styling is evident throughout the Audio O concept car design, but Audi isn’t the lone styling infuluence. The Apple iPod and music were determining factors in many of the design choices, right down to the DJ mixing decks that can be pulled for use outside of the car. he Audi O concept features a unequalled frequence system which has internet connectivity for downloading music onto the built-in 650 GB hard drive. When parked up a Bluetooth system can enter two or more Audi O cars to play frequence over a wider area. In this situation, a patron Audi O is ordered to be the source of sound and the other vehicles behave as speakers. The Audi O also features a pullout rear door fitted with a DJ set with mixing decks. Kia Optima gets a major makeover with all new bodywork

Over the years, the Kia Optima has long been a sturdy workhorse for the up-and-coming Korean brand. While nothing special to look at, it's a fairly solid piece of transportation that's happy to go about its business without much fanfare or recognition. All of that changes with the 2011 Kia Optima that's making its big debut at the 2010 New York show.

How do we justify that bold pronouncement? Simple. Not only will Kia now offer the Optima with a legitimate hybrid, but a legitimate sport model is in the works as well. If one look at the 2011 Optima doesn't tell you that Kia's been doing its homework, a quick peek under the hood will.

Optima LX base models come equipped with Kia's impressive new 200-horsepower 2.4-liter direct-injected four-cylinder engine equipped with a six-speed automatic or optional six-speed manual. Coming in early 2011, this engine will shack up with an electric motor and form Kia's first hybrid.

The enthusiasts, of course, want to know about that sport model we mentioned earlier. Called the SX, it bursts on to the scene with the hot new Theta II, 2.0-liter direct-injected and turbocharged four-cylinder that bangs out a muscular 274 horsepower. Unfortunately, it only comes with the six-speed auto, but you at least get a set of paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
Look past the engines and you'll see an all-new platform underneath equipped with a MacPherson strut front suspension and a new multi-link rear setup. Kia promises its engineers have been working very hard on the NVH, so the new Optima is expected to simultaneously be a sportier and more comfortable ride than the car it replaces. You can expect more room inside as well, thanks to a 2.9-inch longer wheelbase, which in turn leads to a 1.7-inch increase in overall length. The new Optima is also wider and lower than the outgoing model.

2011 Hyundai Equus

One year ago, Hyundai placed its Korean-market Equus flagship luxury sedan on its show stand at New York "to test reaction," though validating the decision to bring it here was more the case. Now, with the 2011 Hyundai Equus bound for the U.S. on display at this year's New York show, Hyundai appears to be setting out to accomplish what Lexus did 20 years ago, only this time around, Lexus finds itself a target.
Hyundai has lined up the Lexus LS 460 in the crosshairs in addition to the Mercedes-Benz S550. On paper at least, the Equus is neck-and-neck with both of its main bogeys.
It's worth noting that the Equus is not a clean-sheet design. The car has existed in Korea for more than a decade, so Hyundai has had plenty of time to get it right before launching it in America this fall. If the spec sheet is to be believed, they've succeeded in producing a vehicle that can hang with the top dogs in the segment. The Equus in most cases offers as much or more interior space than either the Benz or the Lexus, comparable power, high-tech suspension and all the requisite luxury features. Its 4.6-liter Tau V-8, for example, is slightly more powerful than the LS and the S550 with 385 horsepower at your command, though it falls significantly short on torque, with just 333 pound-feet available. With a ZF six-speed automatic sending power to the rear wheels, Hyundai stakes a claim of less than 6.4 seconds to 60 mph, but that puts the big horse a full second behind its Japanese and German competition, despite the fact that all three cars report curb weights within 300 pounds of each other depending on trim.
At least Hyundai can say it's kept up on the mileage, matching the LS 460's 16 mpg city and 19 mpg highway and besting the S550.

Beautifull Car BMW Z4 Sdrive35is

BMW has officially taken the wraps off its 2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35is -- a range-topping model of the Z4 lineup that's set to make its world debut at the 2010 Detroit auto show.
While we'd prefer they'd call it Z4 M (it's a lot easier to pronounce, for one), we're not going to argue with the upgrades to the automaker's twin-turbo 3.0-liter I-6. Mainly through changes to the turbocharger system, the engine now outputs 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque - a healthy increase over the 300-hp, 300 lb-ft output in the Z4 sDrive35i. In addition, there's also a controlled overboost function that briefly increases torque by another 37 lb-ft.
The updates to the engine will push the Z4 sDrive35is from 0 to 60 in 4.7 seconds onto an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph, according to BMW. The power bump won't come with a corresponding decrease in fuel efficiency, either, as BMW estimates the sDrive35is will roughly match the efficiency of the sDrive35i equipped with the automaker's 7-speed DCT transmission.Speaking of the DCT, BMW claims both the transmission and the automaker's electric power steering system have both been optimized to further enhance the sporting character of the car. In addition, the exhaust system of the Z4 sDrive35is has been fitted with new mufflers and baffles designed to give it a deeper rumble especially under hard acceleration. While they aren't calling it a Z4 M, the sDrive35is comes with a host of BMW M Sport upgrades. The automaker's adaptive M Suspension for the Z4 is fitted to the car, which features a reduction of overall ride height by roughly a quarter inch, along with a set of electronically controlled shocks. The car's M Aerodynamics kit employs a number of exterior enhancements to the front bumper and rear fascia, and a rear diffuser has been added. Special, five spoke 18-in. alloy rims are standard equipment, with 19-in. alloys available as an option. The M treatment continues on the inside, with numerous enhancements including the awesome, thick-rimmed M steering wheel, sport seats and other model specific touches including BMW's new Aluminum Carbon interior trim. The sDrive35is also marks the debut of a new leather color called Kansas Walnut, and the car will be available in six colors including Melbourne Red metallic, a new hue for the Z4.
