Hybrid Audi O Concept Car by Ondrej Jirec Fuses Sound and Style

The fuel-efficient diesel-electric hybrid Audi O concept car by Czech designer, Ondrej Jirec is designed to fuse innovative audio features with the sporty feel of a four-seat hatchback.

Audi trademark styling is evident throughout the Audio O concept car design, but Audi isn’t the lone styling infuluence. The Apple iPod and music were determining factors in many of the design choices, right down to the DJ mixing decks that can be pulled for use outside of the car. he Audi O concept features a unequalled frequence system which has internet connectivity for downloading music onto the built-in 650 GB hard drive. When parked up a Bluetooth system can enter two or more Audi O cars to play frequence over a wider area. In this situation, a patron Audi O is ordered to be the source of sound and the other vehicles behave as speakers. The Audi O also features a pullout rear door fitted with a DJ set with mixing decks. Kia Optima gets a major makeover with all new bodywork

Over the years, the Kia Optima has long been a sturdy workhorse for the up-and-coming Korean brand. While nothing special to look at, it's a fairly solid piece of transportation that's happy to go about its business without much fanfare or recognition. All of that changes with the 2011 Kia Optima that's making its big debut at the 2010 New York show.

How do we justify that bold pronouncement? Simple. Not only will Kia now offer the Optima with a legitimate hybrid, but a legitimate sport model is in the works as well. If one look at the 2011 Optima doesn't tell you that Kia's been doing its homework, a quick peek under the hood will.

Optima LX base models come equipped with Kia's impressive new 200-horsepower 2.4-liter direct-injected four-cylinder engine equipped with a six-speed automatic or optional six-speed manual. Coming in early 2011, this engine will shack up with an electric motor and form Kia's first hybrid.

The enthusiasts, of course, want to know about that sport model we mentioned earlier. Called the SX, it bursts on to the scene with the hot new Theta II, 2.0-liter direct-injected and turbocharged four-cylinder that bangs out a muscular 274 horsepower. Unfortunately, it only comes with the six-speed auto, but you at least get a set of paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
Look past the engines and you'll see an all-new platform underneath equipped with a MacPherson strut front suspension and a new multi-link rear setup. Kia promises its engineers have been working very hard on the NVH, so the new Optima is expected to simultaneously be a sportier and more comfortable ride than the car it replaces. You can expect more room inside as well, thanks to a 2.9-inch longer wheelbase, which in turn leads to a 1.7-inch increase in overall length. The new Optima is also wider and lower than the outgoing model.

2010 Aston Martin DBS UB 2010 Special Edition Side View

Dr. Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin for nearly a decade, has been credited with bringing some of the most evocative models of recent memory to production and changing the luxury British sports car maker for the better. How to give thanks? Aston's done it with a special edition DBS Convertible.

Dubbed the UB-2010 Limited Edition, the special DBS models are a product of Aston’s Works Service program, which is typically employed by customers desiring personalization to the nth degree. In this instance, Bez himself specified the unique color scheme, which includes an “Azurite Black” paint hue, metallic bronze leather with woven seat inserts, and a special “Cryptic Titan” interior trim finish.

Each DBS UB-2010 will wear special doorsill plates with Bez’s signature. Aston says Bez will personally sign off on each of the UB-2010 cars, lending his signature to the car’s final inspection plate as well.

BMW X9 Concept is a modern safari for Batman

Did you ever think if the Caped Crusader ever gets tired of his batmobile and wanna have a modern vehicle instead? What kinda vehicle he’ll opt for? The one pictured above has all that Batman would surely fall for. Hailed as the BMW X9 Concept, the 18-year old designer from Tunisia, Khalfi Oussama, might surely have thought of a modern vehicle for Batman before giving shape to this vehicle. Unfortunately we don’t have all that technical info of the vehicle or what was the inspiration behind, but checkout the images and you will rhyme with me that this weird vehicle is an ideal safari for the Dark Knight.
